Dictation and Transcription Services for the Minneapolis VA Medical System   2

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 23, is issuing a solicitation for Dictation and Transcription Services at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System.

The goal of this contract is to provide essential transcription services that support the medical documentation needs of the healthcare staff at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center.

Work Details
The contractor will provide dictation and transcription services for medical staff at the Minneapolis Veterans Administration Health Care System (MVAHCS). This includes:
- Transcribing off-site dictation into required report formats for various medical documents such as discharge summaries, operative reports, consults, compensation and pension exams, and outpatient progress notes.
- Ensuring that all transcribed material meets high standards of accuracy and quality, with an acceptable error rate defined as 0.5% of total lines per day.
- Providing a dictation system that is operational 24/7 and ensuring timely turnaround times for reports.
- Conducting quality reviews and audits of dictated material to maintain compliance with established standards.
- Training MVAHCS staff on the use of the dictation system and ensuring compatibility with MVAHCS's existing systems.
- The contractor must also have a disaster readiness plan in place to address potential disruptions in service.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a base period of performance lasting 12 months, beginning on April 15, 2025, with four additional option years available for extension at the discretion of MVAHCS.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System located at One Veteran Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417.
