On July 29, 2024, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Biometric Identity Management (OBIM) and Office of Procurement Operations (OPO) held an Industry Day to discuss an upcoming requirement for Biometric Collection Devices (BCD). Dear Industry Partners,

As a follow on to the SAM.gov notice posted on July 9, 2024, the following registration information is provided for the upcoming Biometric Collection Devices (BCD) Industry Day in support of the DHS Office of Biometric Identity Management (OBIM).

Note: The Industry Day will be recorded. Any responses provided during Industry Day maybe super ceded in the resulting solicitation. This event is closed to the press.

WHEN: Monday, July 29, 2024

TIME: 10:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m.

WHERE: The Industry Day will take place at the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Town Hall Conference Center located at 6595 Springfield Center Drive, Springfield, VA. The conference center is on the second floor.

Attendance: Attendance will be taken for all Industry Day participants both in person and virtually. Each company is limited to two representatives for in person participants. For each participant, must provide the name, company, phone number, and email address. Visitors who participate in person at the TSA site will be contacted by a DHS representative to complete the in-person registration form. Note: In person attendees are encouraged to register as soon possible to facilitate the security pre-vetting process for access to the TSA building.

You must have a pictured government or state issued identification to attend. Participants must go through a security screening process at the front desk of the building before entry into the building.

If you are interested in attending the Industry Day, please register at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BCDsIndustryDay no later than July 22, 2024, 10AM ET. Reservations through any other means will not be accepted or allowed.

Submission of Questions: Industry is invited to submit questions in writing prior to Industry Day in response to the Request for Information (RFI) released in March 2024. All questions must be received no later than Monday, July 22, 2024, at 10AM ET and should be submitted to: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BCDsIndustryDay. Vendors will also have an opportunity to ask questions during Industry Day.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Procurement Operations will conduct a hybrid (in-person and virtual) Biometric Collection Devices (BCDs) Industry Day in support of the DHS Office of Biometric Identity Management (OBIM) on July 29, 2024. The purpose of the Industry Day is to follow-up on the previously issued Requests for Information (RFI) and for the Department to share its vision for the BCD requirement. The Industry Day will also allow the government to receive valuable input from industry. The Industry Day will take place at the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) building in Springfield, VA (6595 Springfield Center Dr, Springfield, VA 22150). Additional details concerning the registration instructions will be provided on or about July 12, 2024.

Background
