DFAS LI Snow Removal Services

Background
The Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) is seeking a contractor to provide snow removal services at their facility located at 27 Arkansas Rd., Limestone, ME 04751-6216. The goal of this contract is to ensure safe access and operational continuity during winter months by effectively managing snow and ice accumulation in accordance with industry standards and applicable laws.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, materials, tools, supervision, and transportation necessary for snow and debris removal, including salting. Services will generally be performed Monday through Friday between 1830 and 0530 during the months of November to April. The Contractor must be prepared to work outside these hours if snow accumulates after 0530. Specific tasks include:

1. Complete removal of snow, ice, sleet, and slush by 0530 on weekdays with no more than one inch remaining above the plowed surface.
2. Ensure fire hydrants, sidewalks, loading docks, and entry/exits are clear of snow and ice.
3. Move outdoor furniture such as picnic tables and benches as necessary to perform the work.
4. Provide safety data sheets for all chemicals used prior to the start of the contract.
5. Be prepared to work in extreme weather conditions including blizzards or icy conditions.
6. Correct any deficiencies in work within 24 hours at no additional cost.
