Small Caliber Munitions Division FCDD-ACM-MI at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, is conducting market research to determine the industry capability and interest in developing tooling and manufacturing processes to produce prototype containers for the Caliber .338 NM linked cartridge.

Background
The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Armaments Center (DEVCOM AC), specifically the Small Caliber Munitions Division FCDD-ACM-MI at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, is conducting market research to assess industry capabilities and interest in developing tooling and manufacturing processes for prototype containers designed for the Caliber .338 NM linked cartridge.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance ammunition packaging and qualification.

Work Details
The contract involves the development of fabrication tooling and manufacturing processes to produce a number of prototype containers for the qualification and packaging of Caliber .338 NM linked ammunition. All development and manufacturing activities are required to be performed within the United States.

The containers must comply with the specifications outlined in TDP MIL-DTL-3060G.
