Design-Build Contract for New Consulate Compound in Medan, Indonesia   2

Background
The U.S. Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) is seeking high quality firms experienced in complex Design/Build construction projects for the design and construction of a New Consulate Compound in Medan, Indonesia. The project is available for full and open competition. Continuing a legacy of outstanding diplomatic architecture, OBO seeks to commission the most highly qualified constructors to create facilities of outstanding quality and value.

Work Details
The project scope includes a new office building (NOB); a new main controlled access control facility (MCAC); and support facilities including utility building and staff and visitor parking. Construction of full-height perimeter walls is also required. The anticipated work includes design development and finalization, building construction, geotechnical analysis, and survey/verification/action including unexploded ordnance/remnants of exploded ordnance survey and removal as needed. The approximate construction cost is $55 - 75 million.

Period of Performance
The project solicitation will be available on the Department of State ProjNet System around the last week of April or the first week of May 2023.
A site visit is planned for June 2023.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed in Medan, Indonesia.
