Design/Build Construction for San Juan Hurricane Rebuild Rio Bayamon at USCG Base San Juan, San Juan, PR (Phase 1-Reprocurement)   2

Background
This project is for design-build with the intention to rebuild to resilient standards shore facilities at U.S. Coast Guard Sector San Juan required as a result of damages sustained during Hurricane Maria. Phase 1 will consist of Infrastructure, Utilities Distribution and Resiliency for Rio Bayamon Housing Sites. Work shall include new campus wide generator system and distribution.
A new water storage tank with pump and for distribution is included.

Work Details
The work details include the design-build construction for San Juan Hurricane Rebuild Rio Bayamon at USCG Base San Juan, San Juan, PR (Phase 1-Reprocurement). The project involves infrastructure, utilities, and resiliency work at Rio Bayamon Housing in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Basis of Design Narrative covers various aspects such as site development, roads, driveways, parking areas, walks, water supply, sewers and sewage disposal systems, fencing, environmental pollution control, storm drainage, demolition, architectural style, type of construction, building insulation, materials and finishes, physical and electronic security, furniture, fixtures and equipment list, space programming, water and moisture proofing, hazardous materials abatement, recycled materials.
It also includes the basis of structural design narrative covering foundation description and structural system description. Additionally, the basis of mechanical design narrative includes plumbing systems, heating ventilation and air conditioning systems, refrigeration (cold storage), fuel distribution and storage systems, energy conservation systems and miscellaneous mechanical systems. The basis of fire protection design narrative covers type of construction identification and description; fire extinguishing system identification; fire alarm and detection systems description.
Lastly, the basis of electrical and telecommunications design narrative includes primary distribution description; primary service transformation to secondary service description; other electrical systems description; design standards.

The construction projects will be performed at U.S. Coast Guard Sector San Juan in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
