Design/Build Combined Compound Emergency Sanctuary (CES) and Perimeter Wall Security Upgrade

Background
The U.S. Consulate General Frankfurt is issuing a Pre-solicitation Notice for the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Combined Compound Emergency Sanctuary (CES) and Perimeter Wall Security Upgrade at the U.S. Embassy in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The solicitation may result in the award of a firm-fixed price design/build construction contract in the second quarter of 2024.

Work Details
The U.S. Embassy Ouagadougou requires design and construction services to remove the existing anti-climb fence and install a reinforced concrete wall in its place. The successful offeror shall provide design and construction services, contract coordination, supervision, and all necessary construction services including furnishing labor, material, equipment, and services required to complete the Combined CES and Perimeter Wall Security Upgrade in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

The building footprint shall be 62 square meters in a rectangular form with specific requirements for men's restroom, women's restroom, and two egress points. The Architect/Engineer (A/E) shall develop a construction cost estimate, prepare construction documents, and prepare specifications using the furnished drawings. Additionally, the existing picket fence shall be removed, and the wall shall be raised to a minimum height of 3.0 meters.
