Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) - Sources Sought Notice for Capacity Services Communications

Background
The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is seeking to determine the availability and technical capability of both small and large businesses, including various subsets such as Small Disadvantaged Businesses, Certified 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, HUBZone Small Businesses, and Woman-Owned Small Businesses.

DISA provides information technology solutions for the Department of Defense (DoD) and requires robust processing, storage, and communication services to meet diverse applications. The goal of this contract is to enhance DISA's communications infrastructure capacity to meet new customer requirements and replace outdated systems.

Work Details
The contract encompasses a wide range of tasks and services related to capacity services communications, including but not limited to:
- Provisioning of physical appliances such as firewalls, routers, load balancers, security devices, non-SDN switches, software-defined networking (SDN) components, domain name systems (DNS), network packet capture (NPC), email systems, virtualization platforms, and voice over IP (VoIP) equipment.
- Provisioning of virtual appliances that mirror the physical counterparts in functionality.
- Specific requirements for various appliances include:
- Enterprise WAN Acceleration Appliances with capabilities for application performance enhancement and support for multiple communication protocols.
- Data Center Console Servers with secure remote management features.
- Circuit to IP Converter Appliances that facilitate legacy technology integration into IP-based systems.
- Network Policy Compliance Appliances that ensure endpoint security across diverse network environments.
- Mobility Controllers that manage mobile sessions effectively while ensuring security compliance.
- Time Server Appliances that synchronize time across networks with redundancy features.
- Remote-managed power distribution units (mPDUs) capable of remote management and monitoring.
- Layer 7 Firewalls with advanced threat detection capabilities and high throughput requirements across different tiers.
- Network Stateful Firewalls with licensing for government encryption standards and high availability architectures.
- Boundary Firewalls designed for high-density LAN/WAN environments with robust security features.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various DISA facilities worldwide as specified in the solicitation.
