Custodial Services, Kadena Air Base

Background
The Contractor shall provide all management, tools, equipment, and labor necessary to ensure that custodial services are performed at Kadena Air Base, including surrounding United States Air Force (USAF), and Department of Defense (DOD) facilities located on Okinawa, Japan, in a manner that will maintain a satisfactory facility condition and present a clean, neat and professional appearance. The contractor shall accomplish all cleaning tasks and be required to provide and replenish soap and paper products in all restrooms identified in Appendices A and B, in order to meet the requirements of this PWS and the Service Summary (SS). All work performed by the contractor shall be performed in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, HAF standards, instructions, and commercial practices.

Work Details
The contract includes various tasks such as cleaning non-carpeted floors, carpeted floors, stairways/elevators/accessible lifts, walk-off mats, trash removal, restrooms/locker rooms cleaning services including disinfecting floors and supplies, drinking fountains cleaning, trash removal. It also involves periodic cleaning services for hard floor maintenance and carpet restorative cleaning. The contractor must adhere to miscellaneous requirements such as turning off unnecessary lights, reporting fire hazards and items in need of repair to the COR, turning in lost and found articles to the COR, notifying COR when unauthorized or suspicious persons are seen on the premises. Additionally, the contractor must display appropriate caution signs when cleaning floors or any other surface that might pose a risk to injury for any personnel that are present.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Kadena Air Base and surrounding United States Air Force (USAF), and Department of Defense (DOD) facilities located on Okinawa, Japan.
