Construction Services in the SSA Central Utility Plant, Woodlawn, MD

Background
The General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service (PBS), Region 3, has identified a need for Construction Services for a Project located at the SSA Campus, Woodlawn, MD 21207. This project is a high priority project for GSA Region 3. The project includes construction work to relocate MEP equipment, column shoring and concrete column repairs in the boiler plant of the building. The work will involve multiple trades including General Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, concrete, shoring, rigging, structural steel, etc. The contractor will be required to have the ability to successfully coordinate all trade/subcontractor work and complete this project within all applicable government guidelines governing the work.

Work Details
This project involves construction work to relocate MEP equipment, column shoring and concrete column repairs in the boiler plant of the building. Period of Performance
The design is scheduled to be completed in November 2023. GSA may however release a package soliciting technical proposals in Aug/Sept 2023. The current estimate for the construction work (at the concept phase) is between $10M and $20M. The procurement delivery method for the project is “Design, Bid, Build.”
