Description

Contractor shall have knowledge of all aspects pertaining to the Statement of Work. The SOW and Specifications are written for constructing a stanchion barn and cattle working barn in Kerrville, TX.

There IS a mandatory site visit to attend. Please see paragraph L.6. Site Visit is on Aug 5th.

All RFI questions pertaining to this project must be submitted in writing to the POC (david.hildebrand@usda.gov) of this solicitation. Responses to RFI questions will only be posted on sam.gov. To ensure a response, questions must be submitted by 4:00 PM Aug 11, 2024. Questions submitted after Aug 11th until proposals are due may not receive a response. If questions are submitted after Aug 5th and you were not an attendee of the site visit and therefore would not be technically acceptable for award under Evaluation Factor 1, a response will not be provided.

Background
The solicitation is for the construction of a stanchion barn and cattle working barn in Kerrville, TX. The agency issuing the contract is the USDA, and the period of performance is from 09/30/2024 to 09/29/2025.

Work Details
The contractor is required to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, transportation, utilities, and supervision for complete construction of the stanchion barn and cattle working barn. The work management includes planning, scheduling, cost accounting, report preparation, establishing and maintaining records, and quality control.
Materials and equipment may not be stored at the jobsite lay down area after work hours unless approved in advance. The contractor must provide experienced, qualified personnel fully knowledgeable of safety and environmental requirements. The contractor must also maintain a workplace conforming to applicable OSHA standards.
