Comprehensive Safety Training to National Institutes of Health - Office of Research Facilities Staff.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive safety training for the Office of Research Facilities (ORF) staff. The contractor will be responsible for delivering general safety training, specialized skills training, and coordinating and administering safety training programs. The training must comply with OSHA and applicable standards and be consistent with existing NIH training. Experienced and qualified instructors will be required to deliver the instruction, covering topics such as asbestos awareness, lockout/tagout, lab safety, CPR/AED, OSHA 30 for General Industry, crane operator and rigging, powered industrial truck operator, permit required confined space entry, fall protection methods and equipment, electrical safety for non-electricians, incident investigation, and more. The majority of the training will take place at the NIH main campus in Bethesda, Maryland, with some classes at the NIH satellite facility located at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland. The contract period of performance is from March 5, 2024 to March 4, 2029.
