Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration (NCA) is seeking qualified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) to provide Complete Grounds Maintenance at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery located in Columbia, SC.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the cemetery grounds are maintained to high standards, reflecting the respect and honor due to veterans.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
1. Mowing, edging, and trimming all grass within the cemetery as specified by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Turfgrass height shall be maintained at 2 inches or as directed by the COR.
2. Mowing of non-turfed areas shall occur a minimum of once per month during the growing season.
3. All mowing must prevent scalping and maintain a healthy stand of turf.
4. Edging will be performed weekly or as directed by the COR, ensuring all edges are clean and visually appealing.
5. Trimming around headstones and other vertical surfaces will be done bi-weekly during the growing season, ensuring no grass exceeds the specified height.
6. Daily removal of trash, debris, and unsightly grave decorations is required to maintain cleanliness and appearance.
7. The contractor must operate and maintain an underground irrigation system, conducting inspections and repairs as necessary.
