Commercial Items for 3k Tactical Water Purification System

Background
The US Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Edgewood Contracting Division (ECD) is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to gather insights on industry capabilities for procuring commercial items for an upcoming water purification program, specifically the 3k Tactical Water Purification System (TWPS).

This system is designed to produce potable water from various sources, including those contaminated with Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) materials. The 3k TWPS will replace the legacy 3k Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Unit that has been in use for over thirty years. The goal of this RFI is to assess the market's ability to support the procurement needs of this program without any intention of awarding a contract based on this request.

Work Details
The vendor will be required to meet several key requirements:
1. Capacity to source items from multiple suppliers according to OEM part numbers, with no substitutions allowed.
2. Ability to procure high volumes of items, potentially exceeding 10,000 units per order and totaling $50-75 million over the contract duration.
3. Capability to identify and adhere to delivery timelines as per the program schedule, which may require deliveries 2-3 months in advance of monthly fielding schedules.
4. Support for delivery of items to multiple CONUS locations as specified by the government.

Additionally, vendors must demonstrate the ability to procure various types of items including Military Specification Hardware, Electrical Components, Electrical Materials, Water Pumps, Motors, Pressure Vessels and Accessories, Army Procurement Equipment, and Miscellaneous Materials. Vendors must also be adaptable to changes in item specifications or quantities and comply with Item Unique Identification (IUID) requirements when applicable.

Period of Performance
Potential period of performance is a five-year ordering period.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at multiple CONUS locations.
