Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration is issuing this solicitation for janitorial services at the Richmond National Cemetery and its five satellite cemeteries.

The goal of the contract is to ensure that these facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and respect, reflecting the dignity of the sites as final resting places for service members and veterans.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, and supplies necessary for janitorial services at the Richmond National Cemetery and its five satellite cemeteries.

Key tasks include:
- Cleaning eight public restrooms daily.
- Emptying six exterior trash receptacles daily and cleaning them monthly.
- Ensuring all sinks, mirrors, toilets, countertops, light switches, and door handles are cleaned and sanitized daily.
- Sweeping and wet mopping tile and concrete floors with a heavy bleach solution daily.
- Providing adequate supplies of toilet paper, paper towels, and soap dispensers daily.
- Maintaining cleanliness in entrance doorways by sweeping free of bugs and debris daily.
- Documenting all janitorial activities on a verification survey.

Period of Performance
The period of performance will consist of one base year with four one-year options to be exercised from the date of award.

The contract will be performed at various locations including: Richmond National Cemetery (1701 Williamsburg Rd, Richmond, VA 23231), Fort Harrison National Cemetery (8620 Varina Rd, Richmond, VA 23231), City Point National Cemetery (10th Ave & Davis St, Hopewell, VA 23860), Glendale National Cemetery (8301 Willis Church Rd, Richmond, VA 23231), Cold Harbor National Cemetery (6038 Cold Harbor Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23111), Seven Pines National Cemetery (400 E. Williamsburg Rd, Sandston, VA 23150).
