ClearPath Hosting Services

Background
The solicitation is for ClearPath Mainframe support services required by the General Services Administration (GSA) to provide a large-scale, secure, cost-effective and capable computing platform. The ClearPath system at GSA currently hosts 13 major mainframe applications supporting the Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) Fleet, Transportation, Supply Chain, Acquisition, and reporting requirements. As part of the ongoing Modernization Program, the data pipeline within these systems will move from ClearPath on premise to FCS Cloud. The application and data systems referenced are unique and proprietary and are only supported/executable in the ClearPath environment.

Work Details
The work involves providing support services for the ClearPath Forward system, including maintaining the Master Control Program (MCP) operating system, its compilers, its Database Management System (DBMS), and the Work Flow Language (WFL). It also includes maintaining infrastructure capabilities such as secure fabrics, operating system blueprints, automation capabilities for commissioning operating systems, and managing runtime operations. Additionally, it involves integration with JBOSS mainframe server software and proprietary software integration from SAIC for maintenance and migrations. The solicitation emphasizes that these services are unique to SAIC due to the proprietary nature of the ClearPath system.
