30th Space Communications Squadron (SCS) requires maintenance services for the Ciena products that are the current Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB) Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) data transport. The objective is to acquire one year of Ciena Select Support and 30 Day Repair and Return for the equipment that is VSFB's operational DWDM data transport, excluding equipment otherwise covered by warranty. The maintenance must extend to all Ciena equipment within the VSFB DWDM data transport not otherwise covered by Ciena warranty. As installed equipment comes off warranty, it shall be added for coverage. Select Support services include access to specialist engineers 24 hours a day, everyday of the year; access to the most current releases, upgrades and/or updates; and an online portal to track progress and status as well as a 30-day hardware repair.

Background
The 30th Space Communications Squadron (SCS) is seeking maintenance services for Ciena products utilized in the Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) data transport at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB).
The goal of this contract is to ensure continued operational support for mission-critical DWDM equipment and software, thereby maintaining the integrity of base telecommunications systems.

Work Details
The contractor will provide one year of Ciena Select Support and a 30-Day Repair and Return service for all Ciena equipment involved in VSFB's operational DWDM data transport, excluding items covered by warranty.
Maintenance services will include:
- Access to specialist engineers 24/7 throughout the year.
- Availability of the latest releases, upgrades, and updates.
- An online portal for tracking progress and status.
- Coverage for all Ciena equipment not under warranty, with additional coverage for equipment as it comes off warranty.
- Replacement parts provided at no extra charge during the maintenance period in case of hardware failure.
- Contractor personnel must be certified in Ciena 3926, 5142, 6500, and MCP software with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
