Background

The UIPE FoS GP is a two-piece chemically protective ensemble that provides percutaneous protection from chemical, biological, and radiological warfare agents and contamination for individuals conducting combat, stability, and joint operations across the range of military operations. The purpose of UIPE FoS GP is to reduce the Warfighters’ physiological burden and lower the impact on individual performance while operating in a CBRN threat environment, compared to existing CBR protective ensembles (e.g., JSLIST). The UIPE FoS GP is designed to be worn as a stand-alone uniform when MOPP dictates and will integrate with existing Individual Protective Equipment (IPE), such as masks, boots, and gloves. UIPE FoS GP is a government owned design with government purpose rights to proprietary material data.
