CGC Sycamore DD FY25   3

Background
The U.S. Coast Guard is issuing this solicitation for commercial services to perform various dry dock repairs on the USCGC Sycamore (WLB-209), a 225-foot oceangoing buoy tender currently homeported in Newport, Rhode Island.

The goal of the contract is to ensure the vessel is maintained and operational through necessary repairs and services, aligning with the Coast Guard's mission to maintain maritime safety and security.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, materials, services, equipment, supplies, power, accessories, special tools, and other items required to perform various dry dock repairs to the USCGC Sycamore.

The scope of services includes ship repair and associated support work that may involve tasks not currently listed as definite items. Specific tasks include:
1) Performing definitive work items as outlined in the Schedule of Supplies/Services;
2) Providing option items as needed;
3) Completing growth work items if required;
4) Ensuring compliance with all specifications and standards set forth in the solicitation documents.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance is from April 1, 2025, to June 23, 2025.

Place of Performance
The place of performance is at the contractor's facilities. The cutter's homeport is located at 47 Chandler Street, Pier 2, Newport, Rhode Island.
