Background
The project is issued by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and aims to install radon mitigation systems for two buildings located on the Clear Creek Ranger District. This initiative follows radon tests conducted in January 2024, which indicated high radon levels in the Clear Creek Ranger District Office and the Small Bunkhouse, necessitating the installation of mitigation systems to ensure safety and compliance with acceptable radon levels.

Work Details
The contractor is responsible for supplying all materials, supplies, labor, etc., for the installation of functioning radon mitigation systems in two buildings. Specific tasks include:
- Ensuring installed systems bring building radon levels into the acceptable range (4 pCi/L). An estimated 4 systems or 3 with one being a dual system will be needed for adequate mitigation of building #0801.
- Installing adequately sized fans and associated electrical components.
- Installing manometers according to manufacturer recommendations.
- Conducting testing after systems are installed to ensure radon levels are acceptable; if not, adjustments must be made.
- Providing 2 Air Check Radon Tests after completion for future testing by the district.
- A certified electrician is required for all electrical work.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at two locations on the Clear Creek Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and the Pawnee National Grassland, specifically at:
1. Clear Creek Ranger District Office, Building #0801, 101 Highway 130, PO Box 3307, Idaho Springs, CO 80452
2. Idaho Springs Work Center, Building #0901, 111 East Idaho Springs Rd, Idaho Springs, CO 80452.
