Captioning Services CART   2

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide captioning services for the North Texas Veterans Healthcare System (NTVHCS).
The goal of this contract is to ensure effective communication through captioning during meetings, both remotely via electronic means and on-site at the Dallas Healthcare Center.
This service is essential for enhancing accessibility and supporting the mission of the VA in serving veterans.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide Captioning Services as follows:
1. Remote Captioning Services: Estimated 780 hours per month.
2. On-site Captioning Services: Estimated 8 hours per month.
3. Services must be provided via electronic means (Microsoft Teams) or on-site at varying locations within the North Texas Healthcare Center.
4. The contractor will utilize Communication Access Real-Time Translation (CART) to deliver accurate captions, which may involve using a special phonetic keyboard or stenography methods.
5. The contractor is responsible for all travel costs associated with on-site services.
6. The contractor must ensure timely communication with the point of contact to prevent service disruptions.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from December 9, 2024, to June 9, 2025.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the North Texas Healthcare Center, specifically at the VA Medical Center located at 4500 South Lancaster Road, Dallas, TX 75216.
