Ca-Coleman Nfh-Urgent Trucking Operation

Background
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is issuing this contract to provide transportation services for the Coleman National Fish Hatchery (Coleman NFH) located in Anderson, California. The mission of the agency is to manage and protect fish, wildlife, and their habitats. The goal of this contract is to facilitate the distribution of up to 8 million fall Chinook salmon during a specified period in May 2025.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide four diesel-powered semi-tractors along with four drivers for the transportation of fish. The key tasks include:

1. Transporting up to 8 million fall Chinook salmon from the Hagerman National Fish Hatchery in Idaho to the Coleman NFH in California.

2. Ensuring that each semi-tractor is equipped with a Citizen Band radio and cell phone for communication.

3. Coordinating with the Hagerman National Fish Hatchery Manager for pickup and return delivery arrangements.

4. Disinfecting the trailers interiorly and exteriorly prior to pickup by May 18, 2025, due to biosecurity concerns.

5. Providing an alternate driver and semi-tractor within one hour in case of breakdowns during transport.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from May 19, 2025, through May 26, 2025.

Place of Performance
The primary location for performance will be at the Coleman National Fish Hatchery located at 24411 Coleman Fish Hatchery Road, Anderson, Shasta County, California.
