Description

This request for proposal (RFP) describes services required to provide Sustaining Engineering in support of the C-5M Super Galaxy aircraft.

Sustaining Engineering services include, but are not limited to, performing engineering investigations and analyses, formulating deficiency resolution concepts and designing proof of concepts. Areas to receive engineering support unique to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) within this RFP include, but are not limited to, Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP), Functional Systems Integrity Program (FSIP), and Corrosion Prevention and Control Program (CPCP), as well as nonrecurring and/or in-depth studies and investigations under the Deficiency Investigation Program (DIP). Technical Data Sustainment (TDS) services are also supported to acquire missing or incomplete historical technical data which the Government does not otherwise have access to, in order to fill in the C-5M baseline repository and sustain the C-5M.

Background
The request for proposal (RFP) describes services required to provide Sustaining Engineering in support of the C-5M Super Galaxy aircraft. The services include performing engineering investigations and analyses, formulating deficiency resolution concepts, designing proof-of-concepts, and laboratory and on- and off-aircraft testing. These technical and engineering services are a follow-on to services provided under the previous Sustaining Engineering and Technical Support Services (SETSS) contract, FA8525-19-D-0001. The scope of work has been expanded from Sustaining Engineering Services to Engineering Services to encompass similar engineering services that may be performed using Research, Development, Testing and Evaluation (RDT&E) or Investment types of funding.

Work Details
The SOW includes objectives, benefit to the United States Air Force (USAF), services summary, government-furnished property (GFP), technical & engineering services, contractor aircrew support, depot maintenance technical and engineering support, general information, appendices, and applicable documents.
The work involves providing technical and engineering services in support of the C-5M Super Galaxy aircraft. This includes areas such as Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP), Functional Systems Integrity Program (FSIP), Corrosion Prevention and Control Program (CPCP), Technical Data Sustainment (TDS) services, Contractor Aircrew Support, Depot Maintenance Technical and Engineering Support.
