BUOY & MOORING REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT, B

Background
The National Park Service (NPS), Buck Island Reef National Monument, St. Croix, US Virgin Islands has a requirement to conduct inspection, service, and maintenance to park private-aids-to-navigation (ATON) including boundary, regulatory, and informational buoys, and service underwater trail mooring systems and supporting ground tackle as well as underwater trail wayside signs and bases.

Work Details
To ensure the expanded Park boundary is appropriately marked for law enforcement, resource protection and visitor safety, this Contract will provide inspection, repair & replacement of all existing NPS Buck Island Reef boundary buoys, regulatory buoys, informational buoys, and Moorings. All associated components of the buoy and moorings are included. Examples of components included, but not limited to this contract, are Shackles, Catenary, associated ground tackle, chains, wires, signs, buoy labeling and mooring components associated with these NPS fixtures. This includes all components of buoy and mooring fixtures. Additionally, inspection and location placement of the fixtures may require recovery and replacement of fixtures to assure they are in the correct NPS designated location. Contractor will provide boat, captain, SCUBA divers, and all equipment, materials and supplies to conduct this work under commercial dive operations with OSHA certified dive professionals.
