Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) Defense Efforts Under Procurement Contracts, Cooperative Agreements, and Prototypes Under Other Transactions Agreements

Background
The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Chemical Biological Center (DEVCOM CBC) is tasked with providing innovative chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive (CBRNE) defense capabilities to ensure the dominance of Joint Warfighters on the battlefield and to support interagency defense of the homeland.

This Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) seeks proposals from eligible sources including educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and private industry to advance research and development in CBRNE defense efforts.

Work Details
Proposals should focus on the design, development, testing, or evaluation of new products or services that meet specific performance requirements. Key tasks include:
1. Design engineering, prototyping, and engineering testing.
2. Proposals must align with mission areas identified in Section VII of the BAA.
3. Research efforts should not be limited to specific systems or hardware but may include innovative concepts for basic and applied research.
4. Preproposals may be submitted at any time for evaluation against general requirements outlined in this BAA.
5. Proposals must demonstrate compliance with applicable regulations regarding human subjects, animals, and environmental considerations.
