Background
The contract is issued by the Navy and focuses on the maintenance and repair of boilers, associated services, and distribution systems. Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, and materials for the following tasks: repairs and/or replacement of steam valves (ranging from 6 psi to 900 psi), 'R' stamp welding with required inspections and documentation, resurfacing and welding of boiler hand-hole seats, refractory repair, boiler tube repair and replacement, maintenance of a 120 psi air system, maintenance of 15 psi through 900 psi boiler water feed systems, steam and condensate piping systems, boiler certification, and other associated equipment.

The contract allows for the direct acquisition of specialized subcontracting personnel to address deficiencies not directly related to boilers but essential for the power plant's operations. Potential areas for subcontracted services include the pure water facility, screen house, NPDES monitoring systems, oily wastewater treatment facility, and other miscellaneous facilities or utilities associated with the power plant.
