Background
The solicitation is for a bi-annual maintenance agreement for one TAE-EVO-051 water chiller and eight Bard 2-ton HVAC units. The contract is issued by the United States Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Inspection Services (APHIS) for their Salinas Facility in California. The purpose of the contract is to provide preventative maintenance work for the specified equipment, which supports research on sterile insect technology and maintains temperature for project insect rearing facilities.

Work Details
The scope of work includes bi-annual maintenance tasks for the chiller and HVAC units, such as checking refrigeration circuit, verifying operations of electric cable, cleaning evaporative condensers, calibration of electronic controls, servicing and cleaning evaporative coils, changing air filters bi-annually, checking compressor operation, among other tasks. No additional work shall be started without approval from the contracting agency. The contractor is required to provide all tools and equipment necessary to perform the work.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the contract is from April 19, 2024, to April 18, 2029. Additionally, there are option years included in the contract extending the period of performance up to April 18, 2029.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed in Salinas, California.
