Baltimore Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) Boxed Meals Amendment 2   12

Background
The Baltimore Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) is seeking a contractor to provide and serve boxed meals, specifically sub sandwiches, to applicants processing through the MEPS. The contractor will be required to enter the main base via Mapes 175 Gate and undergo a 100% accountability check. The performance standards include preparing meals in a state/local licensed facility or restaurant, transporting and serving boxed meals to the MEPS applicants as called for by the Contracting Officer or authorized representative.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide boxed meals from the specified location, ensuring that all food delivered and/or served on a military installation is provided by a sanitarily approved source. Meals must be furnished from the establishment at the specified location, and subcontracting to any other establishment or furnishing meals from any other location is permitted only with prior written consent of the Contracting Officer. The contractor shall provide services every Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays and training days scheduled by the MEPS, as well as a maximum of 28 Saturdays annually, for a total estimated 264 days per year.
Extra meals may also be required on as many as two of the processing days per month for applicants processing late into the afternoon or evening. The number of meals provided during a previous 12-month period is provided for information only at technical exhibit 2.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance is from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023, with options for extension until June 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed at the Baltimore Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) located at 850 Chisholm Avenue, Fort Meade, Maryland 20755.
