DENTAL WATER SAMPLING for VA Sierra Nevada *Total Small Business set-aside Base Year plus four(4) Option Years

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for Dental Water Sampling services at the VA Sierra Nevada Healthcare System located in Reno, Nevada. The goal of this contract is to ensure that dental unit water lines meet U.S. potable water standards as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Dental Association (ADA). This solicitation is set aside for Total Small Business participation, with a contract structure consisting of one base year and four option years.

Work Details
The contractor will perform dental water sampling in accordance with the Statement of Work. Key tasks include:

1. Conducting one water sample per dental chair waterline, totaling 26 samples, with a maximum of 30 if initial samples fail criteria.

2. Testing samples for Heterotrophic Bacteria using Standard Method 9215B Pour Plate with R2A agar.

3. Providing all necessary sampling media, equipment, vehicles, shipping labels, and laboratory costs for analysis.

4. Performing quarterly sampling unless results indicate levels equal to or greater than 500 Colony Forming Units (CFU), which would require additional sampling until levels are reduced below this threshold.

5. Delivering analysis results via email within 24 hours and sending a hard copy within one week to designated personnel at the facility.

All work will be conducted at the VA Sierra Nevada Healthcare System located at 3674 S. Virginia St., Reno, NV 89502.
