This is the formal solicitation for the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program engine contract. This acquisition will be an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract. The North American Industry Classification System code for this requirement is 336412 with a size standard of 1,500 employees.

(16) Description.
This acquisition will be awarded as a new Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) supply contract with some services. The supplies and services provided under this contract will include 608 new, commercial engines (commercial regional/business size jet engines), plus additional spare engines, associated support, spares, support equipment and data to re-engine the B-52 bomber fleet. The Minimum required performance for this contract is the completion of the first year of Program Management. Performance is subject to availability of funds. Initial engine quantities include 16 64 engines to integrate onto prototype aircraft, plus additional spares. The remaining quantity of engines will be acquired over the course of multiple ordering periods, for a total contemplated period of performance of up to 17 years. The 17 year period of performance includes a basic period and option periods as follows: one six-year basic period, one five-year option, and six one-year options. Additionally, the contract will include per event and over & above contract line items to allow for anticipated requirements that cannot be known at the time of award, such as unscheduled repairs. This requirement is intended to be implemented as a competitive, commercial acquisition under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12. A redacted J&A limiting the sources to qualified vendors will be posted with the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
