AMENDMENT ISSUED TO EXTEND THE SOLICITATION TO: CLOSING DATE/TIME TO: 03/21/2024 - 13:00 America/Chicago

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners Springfield, Missouri intends to make an award to a responsible offeror for the provision of Audiology/Hearing Aid Services for the Medical Clinic to conduct hearing examinations and evaluations for Government Staff and hearing examinations, evaluations, and correct impaired hearing for inmate patients at the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners (herein after referred to as USMCFP). The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a base period from the effective date of award (intended to be April 1, 2024) through 12 months, four (4), one-year option periods, and one (1) six-month option period for renewal at the discretion of the Government.

This requirement will include, but not be limited to: hearing examinations, evaluation of hearing tests, selection of proper frequency hearing aids, ear molds, and preparation and adjustment of hearing aids. All hearing examinations will be formally documented by the contractor. Review items and Supplies needed by the contractor for the mold, repair or manufacture of the hearing aid will be provided by the contractor. Any records maintained by the contractor will be property of the Government. Only a provider is required, a USMCFP staff member will enter records into the USMCFP/BOP system. The anticipated work schedule will be mutually agreed upon by the contractor and the government but will consist of approximately one (1) session per month or as deemed necessary based upon clinical needs. A session shall consist of one four (4) hour block Monday - Friday, 0730-1600, excluding Holidays.

All questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted, in writing, to the listed government point of contact no later than 10:00 a.m. CST on Friday, March 1, 2024. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The required date for receipt of quotations is Monday, March 18, 2024. Payments will be made using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).

All offerors must be actively registered in the Systems for Award Management (SAM) database prior to the date of receipt of quotations, award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements at sam.gov. All responsible businesses are encouraged to submit a quote which may be considered.

Work Details

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance for this contract will be from April 1, 2024, through March 31, 2025, with four (4) option years and a 6 month option period at the discretion. Contractor will be available as mutually agreed upon by the U.S. Medical Center and the contractor.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, Missouri.
