Background
The solicitation is for asbestos abatement services at building 1300, Mountain Home Air Force Base (MHAFB), Idaho. The work involves removing approximately 5,200 sq. ft. of asbestos-containing material from office space at the specified location. The contract also includes provisions for potential future changes, additional work, and modifications within the scope of the requirement.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all personnel, labor, supervision, management, supplies, tools, equipment, and other necessary items to abate and remove asbestos in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

The work includes constructing a 2-phase containment process, removing suspended ceiling systems and stud walls, as well as floor coverings and mastic to reveal bare concrete. Upon completion of abatement, a third-party testing firm will provide clearance air sampling. The contractor is also responsible for quality control, administrative tasks inherent to contract performance, environmental controls including hazardous material inventory and safety data sheets (SDS), material storage and use, notification of environmental spills, waste management in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, historic preservation coordination if required prior to implementation of work activities at MHAFB.
