APX-111 Mode 5 Combined Interrogator Transponder

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source IDIQ contract with firm fixed price orders to BAE Systems Information and Electronics of Greenlawn, New York (BAE) for the FY 13-15 requirements of APX-111 Mode 5 Combined Interrogator Transponders (CIT), Shop Replaceable Assemblies (SRA) for the APX-111 Mode 5 CIT, and Kits to convert previous configurations of the APX-111 CIT to the Mode 5 configuration (Mode 5 Change Kits). The FY 13 basic contract award will procure up to 20 APX-111 Mode 5 CIT, up to 106 Mode 5 Change Kits and up to 34 SRAs. The FY 14 Option will contain pricing for up to 17 APX-111 Mode 5 CIT, up to 154 Mode 5 Change Kits, and up to 69 SRAs. The FY 15 Option will contain pricing for up to 55 APX-111 Mode 5 CIT, up to 117 Mode 5 Change Kits, and up to 70 SRAs. The quantities listed above are approximations and may be increased slightly if funding permits. Engineering support may be procured in each year of the contract. This effort is being awarded on a sole source basis to pursuant to the provisions of FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source".
