Annual Fire Extinguisher Inspection

Background
The Memphis District USACE has a requirement to have the fire extinguishers inspected at Ensley Engineering Yard. The contract involves the annual inspection and servicing of both portable and fixed fire extinguishing equipment at various locations, including buildings and floating vessels. The services performed under this contract shall include the annual & periodic inspections of fire extinguishers, fire extinguishing systems, fire detection systems & emergency escape air packs to include but not limited to recharging, hydrostatic testing, repair and/or replacement of components. The Contractor shall be prepared and equipped to provide these types of services with systems disabled for no more than five (5) calendar days.

Work Details
The tasks include inspecting and servicing portable and fixed fire extinguishing equipment at various locations including Ensley Engineer Yard in Memphis, TN; Graham Burke Pumping Plant in Elaine, AR; W.G. Huxtable Pumping Plant in Marianna, AR; DD17 Pumping Plant in Dell, AR. The services involve recharging, hydrostatic testing, repair and/or replacement of components as per the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and standards; U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) regulations; and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) EM 385-1-1 requirements.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will be 90 calendar days commencing from contract award.

Place of Performance
The work is to be performed at various locations including Ensley Engineer Yard in Memphis, TN; Graham Burke Pumping Plant in Elaine, AR; W.G. Huxtable Pumping Plant in Marianna, AR; DD17 Pumping Plant in Dell, AR.
