The 42nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell AFB, AL, has a requirement for Carpet Renovation services as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). This procurement is part of a streamlined combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items and is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The goal is to replace carpet in Building 800 at Maxwell AFB, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all necessary equipment, labor, supervision, and materials to accomplish the work. Specific tasks include:

- Surveying the area for accurate measurements;
- Hiring a certified tester to evaluate any suspected asbestos;
- Removing existing carpet and preparing floors;
- Recycling existing carpet;
- Installing new carpet;
- Removing existing vinyl or rubber base;
- Moving furniture as needed;
- Installing transitions between different flooring types;
- Providing and installing new 4" rubber base;
- Maintaining a clean and safe workplace;
- Coordinating after-hours access requests;
- Labeling all equipment staged on base.

The contractor must ensure that all work complies with local codes and standards.
