Description

The resultant contract is a 100% small business set-aside. This requirement is for the 89th Airlift Wing, Presidential Airlift Group (PAG). The PAG requires a complete Airlift Mobility Ramp Kit with non-wood components; the non-wood ramp components shall comprise a kit, built to load vehicles into either C-17 or C-5 aircraft. Items in this product kit should meet all requirements in AFI 11-289, AFI 24-605, DoD MANUAL 4140.65l, and attached, applicable Air Transportability Test Loading Agency (ATTLA) certifications. Ramps should be ATTLA certified; this shows they are safe to transport in an aircraft and what requirements we would have on securing ramps inside the aircraft.

Physical Characteristics:

The Airlift Mobility Ramp Kit will be comprised of ramps and aircraft pedestal shoring. Aluminum ramp pieces shall have built in handles on both sides. Ramps that touch the aircraft ramps shall have PVC belting to prevent damage to ramps and to aircraft ramps. Approach shoring shall be aluminum. There shall be no wood components. Entire ramps and pedestal shoring kit shall have a total weight no larger than 2,160 lbs. Ramps and shoring shall break down to fit in a box truck to ease transportation. Air Mobility Ramp Kit shall hold the weight of vehicles and provide enough approach angle to prevent vehicles scraping against the aircraft ramp, or the aircraft. Ramp kit must be able to support loading a vehicle up to 429 L x 102 W x 156 H and a gross weight up to 30,940 lbs.
