The 3 MXS Wheel and Tire shop at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska has a requirement for (1) aircraft wheel washing device to be used to clean wheel and tire assemblies in order to facilitate their overhaul.

Minimum Specifications:

Capacity: Service at least two wheels (4 halves) simultaneously

Clean C-17, E-3, and F-22 wheel assemblies, bearings, and hardware

Accommodate aircraft wheel size up to 24 inches

Have a foot print no larger than 90 x 90 x 97

Have a MAX service height of 97

Have the option to remove top parts (ex. Exhaust fan) to enter the 92 building entrance

Be capable of utilizing solvents which meet MIL-PRF-29602

Be front loading

Heat water to at least 140' F

Have a fresh water rinse option

Be constructed of stainless steel

Be a closed system/no discharge to water drains

Be electrically powered

Have a vent/exhaust to outside

Have an oil skimmer

Have a debris filter or strainer

Utilize existing wall power, 240V or 460V is available in shop

Work Details
The contract involves the delivery of (1) aircraft wheel washing device with the following minimum specifications:
- Capacity: Service at least two wheels (4 halves) simultaneously
- Clean C-17, E-3, and F-22 wheel assemblies, bearings, and hardware
- Accommodate aircraft wheel size up to 24 inches
- Footprint no larger than 90” x 90” x 97”
- Maximum service height of 97”
- Option to remove top parts (e.g., exhaust fan) for entry through a 92” building entrance
- Capable of utilizing solvents that meet MIL-PRF-29602
- Front loading design
- Heat water to at least 140°F

- Constructed of stainless steel

Period of Performance
