THIS IS A PRE SOLICITATION NOTICE. ANTICIPATED RELEASE OF RFP IS 23 JAN 2017. THIS WILL BE A 5 YEAR FIRMFIXED PRICE REQUIREMENTS TYPE CONTRACT WITH (5) ONE YEAR ORDERING PERIODS FOR THE FOLLOWING:

This requirement is for a firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract with five one year ordering periods for the procurement of AIM-9P-5 Guidance and Control Sections (GCSs) For the Sidewinder Missile. This acquisition is for the procurement of the AIM-9P-5 GCS NSN: 1427-01-438-6966, Part Number 154528-2, used on the Sidewinder Missile. This component guides the missile to the specified target in order to destroy it. The basic quantity for Ordering Period one is 162 EA, Ordering Period two quantity is 150 EA, Ordering Period three quantity is 100 EA, Ordering Period four quantity is 50 EA and Ordering Period five quantity is 50 EA. This requirement is sole source to: RUAG Aviation, seetalstrasse 175, Emmen LU 6032, Switzerland. CAGE: S3344. Authority: 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Solicitation is expected to be issued on or around 16 Jan 2017 with response due 30 days after solicitation issue date. Delivery is 90 calendar days after effective date of funded task order. Responsible sources may submit a capability statement or proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The RFP will NOT be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov.
