Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System II (APKWS) Full Rate Production   2

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source follow-on contract to BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration, BAE Systems Information and Electronic Warfare Systems, Hudson, NH for the Full Rate Production (FRP 8-12) (FY19-23) of the Advanced Kill Weapon System II. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type for the procurement of: (a) APKWS II Guidance Sections (WGU-59/B) for a base estimated quantity of up to 25,000 and four ordering periods quantities of up to 25,000 each, resulting in an estimated total procurement of up to 125,000 over a five year period; (b) Navy Shipping and Storage Container (NSSC) CNU-711; (c) technical and training manual updates; and (d) Support Equipment/ Support Test Equipment. The anticipated IDIQ contract will fulfill the needs of the US and potential FMS customers.
The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
BAE Systems is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the APKWS II, and as such, is the only known source available with the requisite technical knowledge, experience and tooling to produce the requirements described herein, in order to satisfy the Government's requirement. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for the supplies anticipated needed herein is 336414.
