Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. PARKING STRUCTURE PKG 502 MEDALLIONS VA Long Beach Healthcare System (VALBHS) is looking to procure Military Branch Emblem Medallions to honor veterans from all military branches entering the VALBHS for medical services. VALBHS s mission to be the number one VA healthcare facility in the Nation and its desire to deliver optimal patient-centered care recognizes the need to standardize the quality of care provided to each of our Veterans. The Contractor shall provide technical drawings and fabrication of six (6) 30-in diameter cast bronze medallions depicting the official emblems of each branch of the US military in accordance with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Signage Design Manual, Section 2.7.7. The awarded contractor shall: a) Coordinate and provide project management for all design services associated with this procurement, including the development of technical drawings for each medallion, front and back, depicting six different bas-relief emblems one for each military branch and each medallion s wall attachment method. Drawings shall be approved by COR prior to the commencement of fabrication. b) Communicate fabrication progress with COR including the expected ship date. c) Provide packaging protection to the extent necessary to prevent damage to final products during shipping. 7. Product Salient Characteristics The minimum technical requirements for this procurement are as follows: a) Size: 30-inch diameter b) Sign Components: Used with dimensional or incised letters. c) Material: The plaques shall be cast of a lead-free tin bronze, such as C90300 (Navy G Bronze) or similar alloy approved by VA. d) Workmanship: Castings shall be uniform in quality and condition; free from injurious blow holes and porosity, cracks, and other defects and not warped or distorted; well finished; free from burrs, sharp edges, scratches, and defects that may affect appearance or service ability. Castings shall not be repaired, plugged, welded, or burned. e) Finish: To be detailed; hand chased for true alignment; filed, belt polished, sides ground smooth; raised surfaces and borders to be polished and buffed to a bright satin finish; background textures to be reverse medium pebble background; fine pebble background, moss as cast, as indicated. f) Coating: Bronze to be chemically oxidized to a statuary medium color and finished with one coat of clear protective exterior metal lacquer. g) Fastener: Tap Bronze Emblem to receive 3/8 (9.53mm) threaded bronze studs. Anchorage to be completed by construction contractor. h) Text/Emblem: Emblem image for each medallion will be provided to awarded contractor by the department of Veterans Affairs post award. Contractor shall create and provide technical drawings of all six (6) emblems, front and back, for approval by COR. Rubbings may be required prior to commencement of fabrication.

Work Details
