Background
The solicitation is for the 808CM3008 Cypress Hills National Cemetery Rostrum Wall and Fence Restoration Construction Project. The purpose of this project is to provide construction restoration services at Cypress Hills National Cemetery to restore the Rostrum, Wall, and Fence as described in the construction documents and specifications. The construction contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, tools and equipment, and necessary to complete this project; shall be responsible for quality control of all work to include sub-contractors; and coordination between trades and sub-contractors/vendors used in completing this project.

Work Details
The construction tasks include Rostrum masonry, roofing, slab, railing repairs, site planting, repair/reset dislodged stone caps, repair stones immediately adjacent to dislodged caps re-use existing posts in place, abate lead-based paint, repair and refinish posts, replace damaged posts, replace all chain link fabric and related components.

The period of performance for the base and options 1 through 4 is 365 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. The operational considerations include working hours from Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with exceptions for Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Construction work must cease during ceremonies or events at the cemetery. Parking is limited and smoking is not allowed on cemetery grounds.
