Description

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to obtain a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Medicare Administrative Contractor (hereinafter referred to as the contractor or MAC or DME MAC ) to provide specified health insurance benefit administration services, including Medicare claims processing and payment services, in support of the traditional Medicare program (also known as the Medicare fee-for-service or FFS, program) for Jurisdiction A (JA). Jurisdiction A includes the states and territories of Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Background

Jurisdiction A includes the states and territories of Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Work Details
The purpose of this contract is to obtain a Durable Medicare Equipment (DME) Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) to provide specified health insurance benefit administration services. The contract type is anticipated to be Cost-Plus-Award-Fee (CPAF). The contract will include individual Task Directives with specifically defined scopes and schedules to direct the contractor to perform special projects. The Schedule of Supplies/Services includes various CLINs for different operations and services over multiple years. The Statement of Work (SOW) takes precedence over the Internet Only Manuals and Paper-Based Manuals unless otherwise specified.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for completion of all work included in this contract shall be from the effective date of contract award through 12 months, plus six one-year options.

Jurisdiction A includes the states and territories of Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
