Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has issued solicitation 36C24E24Q0022 for the procurement of a confocal point scanning microscope system for the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Omaha Health Care System. The solicitation is unrestricted and open to all businesses.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide a confocal point scanning microscope system, including all associated parts, as specified in the Price/Cost Schedule, section B.2, page 4 of the solicitation. The system should have features such as inverted orientation, versatile specimen holder, spectral separation of overlapping fluorophores, objectives covering various magnifications, nanometer range image resolution with deconvolution, rapid z-stack construction, motorized stage with high accuracy, software flexibility for multiple users and applications, workflow functions for identification and automated scanning of regions of interest, separate workstations for image capture and analysis, and a vibration-free table with compressor. The delivery period is from March 18, 2024, to August 17, 2024.
