Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) Baltimore MD, VISN 5, is executing a sole-source delivery order against Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract SPE2D1-17-D-0023 awarded to Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. for the purchase of the Position Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET-CT) system. The Biograph Vision 600 is a whole-body PET•CT tomograph designed for oncological, neurological, and cardiac imaging and diagnosis. The total estimated value of the contract is $3,479,576.64.

Work Details
This request is for the Biograph Vision 600 Unit by Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc., which provides high performance spiral computed tomography (CT) imaging and applications, high-resolution positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of metabolic and physiologic processes, high quality anatomic and metabolic image registration for optimal lesion detection and identification within the body, and high quality attenuation correction and scatter correction for PET imaging. The system meets the needs of the VAMC Baltimore, MD and will include associated software and hardware that are affected by this upgrade.
