Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement The Department of Veterans Affairs, Dayton Veteran Affairs Medical Center, 4100 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45428, intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Steris Corporation, 5960 Heisley Road, Mentor, OH 44060-1834 for three (3) AMSCO 600 63-inch steam sterilizers with Electric Generators and piping for RO System and site prep renovations. Description of requirements: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to remove the (2) existing Sterile Processing Service Sterilizers and replace with/install (3) new Sterilizers in accordance with the Statement of Work and all referenced documents (specifications, drawings, etc.). Work includes all demolition, general construction, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection work, necessary removal of existing construction and certain other items, and construction of new work indicated. The period of performance is 180 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The work is to be performed at the Dayton VA Medical Center, building 330, located at 4100 West Third Street, Dayton, OH 45428. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
