Note that if VA s pending market research establishes that two or more VOSB or SDVOSB, who are certified in VA s Vendor Information Pages (VIP) site https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/, can perform the project, VA will set aside the underlying solicitation per 38 U.S.C. 8127. General Requirements: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, has a requirement for heart pumps. The requirement is for brand name or equal to. The intended contract period shall be within 30 days of contract award. The unit must include an Impella heart catheter. The unit must include an Impella axillary insertion kit. Vascular access kit used for axillary insertion sheath of the Impella catheter that includes 2 graft locks, 23 Fr x 6 cm peel-away introducer with hemostatic valve and an 8 Fr Silicone-coated dilator. The unit must include an Impella purge cassette. The purge cassette delivers rinsing fluid to the Impella catheter. The purge fluid flows from the purge cassette through the catheter to the micro axial blood pump to prevent blood from entering the motor. The unit must include an Impella placement guidewire. Guidewire with a radiopaque, shapable tip used for placement of Impella catheter into left ventricle.
