Security Cameras Building 47 and 62 (VA-24-00034396)   3

Background
The contract is for the installation of security cameras in Buildings 47 and 62 at the Asheville VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. The work includes providing materials, labor, tools, supervision, and equipment necessary for the installation of 34 security cameras, approximately 9500 linear feet of conduit and wiring in the occupied hospital buildings.

Work Details
The work includes preparing the site for building operations, obtaining and monitoring security badges, passes, and/or identification for access to the construction site, complying with Medical Center security rules and procedures, and working during normal hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Off-hour work may be required for tasks transmitting noise and vibrations through the building structure.
Additionally, all contractors must receive annual seasonal Influenza vaccinations and provide tuberculosis screening certification for all contract employees assigned to the worksite within 90 days prior to assignment. The contractor must also comply with the VA's nicotine-free campus policy effective from October 1, 2019. Compliance awareness training and records management obligations are also required.
