Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has issued a solicitation for construction services to provide alterations necessary for the installation of Operating Rooms isolation power and upgrading of critical panels in Building 110A at the Hampton, VA Veterans Affair Center. The project is set aside for 100% Total Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The magnitude of the construction project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Offerors are required to be registered and current in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at the time of award and also registered in Veteran Small Business Certification (VETCERT). A Pre-Bid Site Visit will be conducted on February 7, 2023, at 5:00 PM EDT.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide the equipment, supervision, and expertise required to perform general construction, alterations, removal of existing structures, and construction debris as per contract drawings and specifications for the Operating Rooms located in Building 110A at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Hampton, VA. The work includes general construction, alterations, architectural, and electrical work. The project shall comply with VA design guidelines.
The period of performance is Three-hundred sixty-five (365) calendar days including submittals. All work within the Operating Rooms shall be performed between Monday through Friday at 6:00 pm to 2:30 AM and also anytime on weekends as to minimize disruption to patient care. Tasks will be performed at the VA Medical Center, Hampton, VA, 23667.
