The NCO 12, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, 115 S. 84th Street, Suite 101, Milwaukee, WI 53214, is performing market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of qualified: (1) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB); (2) Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB); or (3) Small or emerging small business firms, or (4) Other Than Small business firms, to provide Brand Name or Equal Nurse Call replacement System for the Danville VAMC. TELEPHONIC INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The NAICS Code 334290, Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing, is applicable to this acquisition; the size standard is 800 employees. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the Systems for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. The Government will use responses to this notice to make an appropriate acquisition decision. This is the only notice; no other copies of this notice will be provided.
Background
The NCO 12, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, is conducting market research to identify qualified firms capable of providing a Brand Name or Equal Nurse Call replacement System for the Danville VA Medical Center (VAMC).

This project aims to update the existing Rauland nurse call system at the Illiana VA Healthcare System, enhancing communication and operational efficiency within the facility.

Work Details
The contract requires the replacement of the existing nurse call system with a new system that meets specific capabilities and requirements. Key specifications include:
1. Proven enterprise capabilities to link multiple sites on one database for centralized monitoring.
2. Reporting with analytics and real-time dashboards of nurse call data.
3. Active application server and database servers supporting Microsoft high-availability options.
4. Software must allow for PIV authentication and standardize nursing workflows.
5. Patient Station Requirements:
- Number of stations based on current bed count, including single and double rooms.
- Features such as code blue/staff assist buttons, call cancel buttons, LED indicators, customizable pillow speakers, and capabilities to control hospital-grade TV systems.
6. Nurse Station Requirements:
- VoIP capabilities with customizable functions and support for over 990 unique call priorities.
7. Compliance with FDA 510k Class I Medical Device standards and FCC Part 68 for wireless phone switch interface.
8. The vendor must provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, management, and transportation for the upgrade while ensuring that existing systems remain operational during installation.
