25' Work Skiff for USDA APHIS WS MI   2

Background
The USDA APHIS Wildlife Services Program in Michigan is in need of a big water, “Great Lakes” type vessel to carry out emergency response, wildlife disease sampling and other mission critical projects safely and effectively in the open waters of the Great Lakes and on offshore islands in the Great Lakes.

Work Details
This is a solicitation for one (1) 25' Work Skiff with all peripherals as detailed in the scope of work. The vessel must be 25 feet in length with a deep-V to cut the waves and a welded aluminum hull for strength and stability. It needs to have a D shaped, 3-inch rubber fender and aluminum rubbing strakes for docking along with an aluminum beaching plate to withstand island landings. It needs to have a non-skid deck surface to prevent slipping when wet or dirty. It should have engraved aluminum labels rather than stickers that can fade or rub off over time. The vessel should have twin 150 HP 4-stroke outboard motors with stainless steel props and a 2-inch engine guard to protect the motors. The motors should have power trim and tilt and be equipped with remote electric start. The vessel needs to have a twin-engine battery system with 3-batteries. The vessel should have adjustable electric trim tabs for stability and getting up on plane quickly, rated for a 26-36-foot boat to ensure they are adequate for all conditions. Hydraulic outboard steering for twin motors is necessary. The fuel tank should be at least 100 gallons.
